What Does Alimasy’s Lifetime Warranty Cover?

For your peace of mind, all Alimasy products come with a lifetime warranty against defects in materials or workmanship*.

The lifetime warranty only applies to the original owner of an Alimasy product which has been used under for the purpose intended in a responsible and normal manner.

The lifetime warranty does not cover products subjected to improper use, cosmetic changes, bought second hand or not purchased directly from Alimasy, or without proof of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage caused through typical wear and tear, unreasonable use or neglect.

*Zippers: Yes, our Japanese YKK zippers are covered by our warranty for 2 years from purchase. Japanese YKK zippers are the most expensive and considered to be the most reliable zippers available. With normal use Japanese YKK zippers will consistently perform really well for years.

We do understand though that manufacturing defects can rarely occur with any component of a product including the best zippers in the world! 

As such, zipper issues are considered to be manufacturing defects for the first 2 years after purchase. After two years of purchase zipper issues are considered to be normal wear and tear. The reason for the distinction for zippers is that we have found that because of the nature of zippers and their prominent use on our products, any and all manufacturing defects on zippers will come to light very quickly after first use of the product, or within the first 2 years of use.
